The file permission of mysql-init was not the problem, need to edit apparmor permissionĮdit by #sudo vi /etc/apparmor.d/. The error was in /var/log/mysql/error.log When I tried #sudo mysqld_safe –init-file=/home/me/mysql-init & it failed.
